Donny began his career in entertainment at the age of 5, and by 13 had already collected 18 gold records, eventually earning a grand total of 33 throughout his career, with sales of over 80 million albums (so far). In 2007 he released his 55th record, "Love Songs of the 70s", which shipped gold in the UK. His starring role in Sir Andrew Lloyd Weber's "Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" broke records during its 6 year run of 2000 performances. During his 40+ year career, Donny has been a singer, actor, triple threat television series host (talk show, game show, variety show), best-selling author (his autobiography entered the UK bestseller chart at #1 last year), commercial spokesman, motivational speaker, and even a race car driver. Reflecting his multi-generational worldwide fan base, his web site, donny.com, receives a staggering 120 million-plus hits annually.

In 2007 he starred on Broadway as Gaston in “Beauty & The Beast”, hosted two television series on British network television, was a special corespondent for Entertainment Tonight’s coverage of “Dancing With The Stars” featuring his sister Marie , and performed at The Concert For Diana, seen worldwide by 2 billion viewers.

Donny & Marie then announced they were reuniting for what was intended to be a six month run headlining the legendary Flamingo Hotel on the Las Vegas Strip, which opened in September 2008 -- after only 5 weeks, the engagement was extended for two years due to unprecedented demand; it has since been extended through 2012, and play 5 nights a week, 44 weeks a year, to sellout crowds from around the world.

Donny is the erstwhile co-host of “The Insider”, and continues as a special correspondent for ”Entertainment Tonight”. He and Marie also recently co-hosted three primetime network television specials, “Miss USA”, “America’s Favorite Mom”, and “Rediscovered”. This coming spring he and Marie are releasing their first studio album in over two decades, and in January 2010 Donny launches a second daily nationally syndicated radio show.

Donny and Debbie, his wife of 30 years, have 5 children and 2 grandchildren.
