Wow… I don’t think words can adequately describe the excitement I felt just before hitting the dancing floor. But, what’s more, was the feeling that came over me after the show. It was seriously a rush of excitement. I’m so glad my wife, Debbie, was in the audience for the first show. Having her there to support me just made my night.
I’m sure many of you watched the show, but for those who are across the great pond, let’s see if we can give you a quick recap:
Kym and I danced the Fox Trot to “All That Jazz” from the musical Chicago. Since ballroom dancing is new to me, I was eager to hear what the judges would say when we finished. Well… I’ve got some work to do.
The biggest critique received that night was over-performing our routine -- I completely agree with all three of the judges. Now I know what to focus on during rehearsals.
Our second, and final dance of the evening was the relay Salsa to “Get Busy”. This was the dance where Kym came to rehearsal one morning and said, “I dreamed about our dance last night." Well, it was more of a nightmare. However, in the end, the dance proved to be a dream come true -- we won the relay.
The judges loved it! So did I. :)
Anyway… no time to rest. More rehearsing. And don’t forget to vote.
