Question: Firstly i would like to thank you and your family for the opportunity to meet you on 30th May 2008 (my birthday!) at the concert at Wembley Arena, it was a grat honour, and you and your family are the most kind, caring and friendly people whom i have ever met!
I am 18 years old and although i strongly believe in god, i don't follow a specific religion, as i am from a mixed raced family and have a mother who is Hindu and a father who is a Christian (C of E). Due to the death of my Nan, two years ago, i began to question the existance of God, as i was incredibly close to her; so i began to read different material about god, written by various different people, varying from the deeply religious to athiests. In conclusion i believe in god, and have faith, and feel that everything happens for a reason that perhaps we are not meant to try to explain. My question to you is this, could i get a book of Mormon to educate myself about the beliefs of the Latter Day Saints, and how would i be able to get the holy book?
I would be deeply honoured if you could give me some more information about how to do this, and thank you for your time.
Response: Thank you for your kind remarks and it was an honor to meet you. I wish you had asked me for a Book of Mormon last week as I would have given you one there. We are continuing our tour in Asia now and I would like to suggest I have a Book of Mormon delivered by a pair of our missionaries that are assigned in your area. I will arrange for them to deliver one if you would let me know how they can best contact you. If you are nervous about that, I will send you a book when I return home, but would need your mailing address. May I suggest that you check the presentation on the Book of Mormon in the multimedia presentations that I have narrated in my website. It will give you an understanding of what the Book of Mormon is. The website is: http://www.donny.com/info/beliefs_multimedia. The other presentations there may also be of interest and helpful in learning about our faith.
