You asked if I believe in God’s power to change the world we live in. I do, and I see His influence and His generous hand in all things. I think that the creation of the great inventions of this world, from electricity to automobiles, to radio, television, airplanes, and all the engineering and technological advances, including the Internet have come from Him. I believe that He has inspired men and women on this earth to learn how to control these elements and to improve the lives of their fellow men as a result.
I see His hand in the downfall of communism and in the opportunity for men and women to have freedom to choose the way their life will go and whether they will accept the gospel of Jesus Christ. Because He loves us and wants us to grow, He will allow us first to do all that we can do to "fix" certain things and then He will step in and take care of the rest.
You asked if I believe in the power of meditation and if I think it actually works. I love the private and quiet time that’s available to simply sit and ponder and meditate about the things that really matter, from the great and majestic beauties of the earth and all of God’s creations to the work of the prophets and apostles and the other great, inspired men of the age who have given us much Christ-centered thought regarding how to conduct our lives and treat others. All of this is worthy of private time to ponder and meditate and praise God for the rich and never-ending blessings, which He showers down upon us.
You asked what I think the world would be like without God. It is simply that without God, there would not be a world. None of this came about by chance. The world, the universe, the heavens, the galaxies, worlds without number, and people without number were all created by Him. He is the grand architect of the entire matter. Through His Son, Jesus Christ, all of these things were created for our benefit and enjoyment and opportunity. I praise His name continually for it.
Sincerely,
Donny Osmond
