I've been thinking about the Mormon beliefs a lot lately. Mostly because I love Jesus and want to get it right. By that I mean live right and go to see Him when I'm down "travelin thru'" here on earth like Dolly Parton's song "Travelin Thru" kind of talks about.
I'm not understanding the difference between being a Mormon or Christian and why people (Christians) makea big deal about Mormons. I have researched alittle about being a Mormon online but every site I went to it was something different. Some of it seemed like something Tom Cruise would have wrote and we all know how jacked up he is.
It stresses me out so much because I'm tried of adding onto the end of my prayers "Jesus if I'm following the wrong beliefs forgive me". Maybe it's just me but I understand God is just so Holy and I want to be with that and make sure that where I am is on the right past. I'm not understanding the difference between being a Mormon and Christian.

I am very pleased to learn that you are investigating The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. There has been so much published about our faith lately, especially after Governor Romney began his candidacy for the Presidency, that I worry that much of what you may find on the internet may have been posted by those who are in strong opposition. May I suggest that this opposition, even to the point of bigotry or persecution is familiar to the prophets and even Christ and his true followers from the beginning of time. If you are sincere in your search, may I suggest that I arrange for you to receive a series of a half dozen or so discussions from some of our missionaries who will show you what we really do believe and why. If you will let me know how they could contact you, I will make the arrangements for them to do so.

I am confident that if you prayerfully continue your search that you will find as I have found that Jesus has restored his Church in these latter days.
