May I offer my most heart felt congratulations to you for your decision to be baptized. The Church needs all of the worthy priesthood holders possible to minister in helping build and sustain the Lord’s Kingdom. He needs your friend also.
My suggestion is to prayerfully approach your friend and ask him if he feels good about what the missionaries have taught him. As you've mentioned in your email, he does. Then ask him if he knows it's true. I'm sure he will say yes again. Then you say, “Will you come and be baptized this Saturday?” Let him answer “yes” or “no”. It’s his choice.
You will be inspired and blessed in giving him the opportunity to exercise his free agency and the angels will rejoice as they encourage him to give the right answer.
That's my suggestion.
