Thank you for your email and interesting question.
It is my impression, and I know that of other members of our faith, that our Father in Heaven has chosen to keep our Heavenly Mother in the background for some specific reasons. I believe he loves and respects her so much that he would protect her from the cursing and slander so common among his children using his name in vain. Can you imagine what they would do with her name? There may be other reasons, but to my knowledge, she is not mentioned any place in scripture. Your suggestion that the use of the word "Wisdom" in certain passages that you have referred to, I would not discount, but I have never heard that taught in our church.
It is not a secret that our Church believes that we have a Mother in Heaven. One of our most popular Hymns: "O MY FATHER" includes the lines: "Truth is reason, truth eternal, tells me I've a Mother there... Father, Mother may I meet you in your royal courts on high."
Why anyone in the Church would tell you that if they talked about our Mother in Heaven, they would face church disciplinary action, I do not understand. I have never heard of such a thing and I am sure that could happen only if someone began to teach openly and stubbornly things that were not in accordance with Church doctrine.
I hope this answers your question to your satisfaction.
Sincerely,
Donny Osmond
