| Question |
Thanks for your help and answering my questions about the book of Mormon.
Someone from your offices, or from the multi-media area must have figured
out I was having a difficult time locating what I now know is ONE book of
Mormon. They promised to send one to me, and even though I offered to pay,
are sending it for free. Thank them for me.
I would like time to read it over, discuss issues with my pastor, and then
will be ready to discuss it further with others. I have vague knowledge of
it, but you seem to really credit it for everything in your life. I'm
confused when it says, 'another testament of Jesus Christ.' I've always
been taught that the books of the Bible are the ONLY testaments. Understand
my dilemma?
Once again, thank you and your staff for your help on this issue. I wish
you a continuing successful tour ( I've heard from fans in theU.K. who are
raving about it), and more importantly your happy family life. Give a warm
greeting to your Father and let him know he is being thought of.
When I'm ready for another question, I hope I can call on you, and if the
time comes, a local area LDS church. This is new to me, and I want to know
the truth, and why it is the truth.
If in your US tour you come near Milwaukee, WI -- I'll be in one of the
seats, as I have been all these years. Thanks for the great entertainment!

You didn't mention whether you were able to see the multimedia presentation
on the Book of Mormon in My Beliefs section on www.donny.com. It will explain why it is called Another Testament of Christ.
I hope as you read the Book of Mormon, you will pray and ask Heavenly Father
to know of its truth. There is a marvelous promise in the very last chapter
of the last book. It states: "And when ye shall receive these things, I
would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of
Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere
heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth
of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost. And by the power of the
Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things." (Book of Mormon | Moroni
10:4 - 5)
I would be interested in knowing your pastor's reaction. I hope that he doesn't discourage you from reading it.
Thank you for your questions and very nice comments.
Sincerely,
Donny Osmond
