To answer your question, the Book of Mormon is in one volume, like the Bible. There are many commentaries, but none could or even attempt to replace the record itself. I can get the missionaries in your area to drop one off to you in Wisconsin at the address you provided. They'll bring you a free copy and if you want, they would be happy to explain to you about the origin and value of the Book of Mormon. That's up to you.
I also recommend that you click on Multimedia in My Beliefs section of www.donny.com and then click first on the Life's Greatest Questions presentation and then on the Book of Mormon presentation. I'd love to know what you think of these presentations.
