| Question |
I just wanted to ask you, after Don Jr.was baptized, or any of the boys, for that matter, did you felt extra pressure being put on your own behavior, as
their example? Or did Debbie?
My daughter was baptized in May of this year, and I have been feeling extra pressure about my own behavior. This is a good thing, I guess, in some ways.
But it seems that lately my own standards are difficult to live up to. I tend to be very hard on myself, when I make a mistake, in my daughter's
presence. I feel like I'm being a bad example for her.
Thanks for responding,

Thanks for your email and question. Being in the public eye, as I have been since a small boy and with everyone knowing I was a Mormon, I am sure many can imagine the pressure I have felt relative to the way I live my life because of how it may reflect upon the Church and how it might influence others. I haven't done everything correctly and I haven't been a perfect example all of the time, but I have tried and will continue to try to live my life the best I can. I know that I am a better person than I would have been had I not felt this pressure and the importance to do my best.
I am sure you will be a better person as you go through life because of your sensitivity to this responsibility. I am pretty confident that your daughter will not go through life without making mistakes, but what a great opportunity to teach her about the great atoning sacrifice the our Savior went through. She will learn how to repent and improve as she sees you make mistakes and repent openly as
an example of this precious principle to her.
I am sure you will be great.
Sincerely,
Donny Osmond
