Question When my father passed away, my sister would not step into the Catholic church where his service was held. A relative informed me that this was because her church did not allow her to go into the Catholic church. I believe that she is a member of your church. Does this sound right? Does your church prevent its member from attending something like a funeral if it is let's say Catholic, Baptist or whatever? If this is a practice at your church, how can you justify keeping a son/daughter away from their parent's funeral.

Response I'm sorry but I didn't get your name.

Please accept my condolences on the passing of your father.

You are either mistaking our church for another or your sister has another reason for not attending the funeral, because there is nothing in our faith which prohibits or discourages anyone from attending meetings of other churches. Infact, I have attended funeral services of many other faiths in the past.

Sincerely,

Donny Osmond
