Question I too am very interested in geneology. My daughter is a birth child, and our son is adopted. I wondered how our adopted son would feel about researching blood family history. My own feeling is that spiritually he is as much our child as our daughter, that it was meant to be. Do you agree, and feel I should continue geneology research? All my love and prayers for your family in your time of sorrow! I know that there is a special place in Heaven for your wonderful mother.

Response Much thanks for you love and prayers and for your nice comment about my mother.

I know many, including some of my siblings, who have adopted children and feel the same as you, and that is that their adopted children were meant for them even before this life, but just came to the family a different route. If it were me, I would certainly continue to search your family history and if your son ever inquires about his own blood line, providing the information is available, you may be able to help him search those lines.

There is a great web site available that I use which may be of some help; www.onegreatfamily.com.

Sincerely,

Donny Osmond
