Thank you for your email and for your question. You write English much better than I can write French. :)
Since the scripture that you are asking about is fairly short, I am going to print it here:
46 And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimæus, the son of Timæus, sat by the
highway side begging.
47 And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me.
48 And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me.
49 And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee.
50 And he, casting away his garment, rose, and came to Jesus.
51 And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight.
52 And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.(Mark
10:46-52)
It has never occurred to me that there was intended here a symbolic meaning, though the suggestion that Christ came to bring mankind out of darkness into
the light is a good thought and this account certainly could be symbolic of that.
As I read of the many miracles that Christ performed during his ministry and I am sure there were many, many more not recorded, it seems to me that the
primary purpose was to show that he was the Son of God with power over the elements of the earth and even those in our bodies. Not only did he heal many,
he calmed the storm and even raised the dead. After all he created the earth and breathed the "breath of life", which is to say he put a living spirit,
into Adam and Eve all under the direction of the Father (see Hebrews 1:1-3). For some reason, I think it must have been expedient that those who crucified
him, did so, knowing of all of these evidences of his divine nature.
I hope this is what you are looking for in your question. Thank you again for emailing me.
Sincerely,
Donny Osmond
