It is a little difficult for me to serve in a ward or stake position because of my travel schedule, but I have always tried to serve in whatever capacity I am asked.
I am currently a home teacher and an instructor/advisor in the High Priest group. Over the years I have been an advisor to the priests and the teachers and deacons. When I was in Chicago, I taught the Old Testament in the Gospel Doctrine class and have served as a 2nd counselor in a bishopric.
I am grateful that ours is not a church where we strive to reach a status. I believe that it doesn't matter where you are called to serve, but how you serve in that calling.
