DONNY's TESTIMONY:
You asked about my testimony and suggested that it would mean something special for you to hear it. I am happy to share a small part of it with you. As you can imagine, if I went in-depth, it would take more space than we have in this brief e-mail. But, so that you’ll know; I believe in Christ and I know that He is the Only Begotten Son of our Father in Heaven in the flesh. He came to earth, preached His gospel, took upon Himself the sins of all men and women, was crucified, and paid such a dear price for our sins. He was resurrected on the third day, and because of it, all men and women everywhere will be resurrected and live immortally. I know that our Father in Heaven loves us and is eager and anxious to bless all of His children, and does so from day to day. I recognize His generous hand in all things and count myself blessed by Him. All that I have and all that I am is a direct result of His gifts to me.
I know that the gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored to the earth in these last days through the prophet Joseph Smith. I know that Gordon B. Hinckley is a prophet on the earth today who leads and guides the church and speaks the mind and will of the Lord to the people of the earth, to bless their lives and to guide them in true paths. I know that if we will live our lives righteously by taking upon ourselves the name of Jesus Christ, and if we always remember Him and keep His commandments, we will always have His spirit to be with us. I know that the Bible and the Book of Mormon are the words of God to the prophets and apostles of ancient time and were prepared for our use in guiding us in these days. I know that families can be together forever. All of this comes to us because of God’s kind, loving, and forgiving nature towards all of His children.
