First of all, my sincere condolences for your loss and I hope that my answer is of some comfort to you. When I need comfort, I turn to the scriptures. In
Ephesians 1: 9, the mysteries of the ways of the Lord are discussed: "Having made known unto us the mystery of his will, according to his good pleasure
which he hath purposed in himself"
The Lord works in "mysterious" ways, and we can only know his ways if they are reveled to us by him.
In the Book of Mormon, Jacob 4:8, it says, "Behold, great and marvelous are the works of the
Lord. How unsearchable are the depths of the mysteries of him; and it is impossible that man should find out all his ways. And no man knoweth of his ways
save it be revealed unto him."
I really don't know why your parents-in-law were taken just prior to the birth of your two children, but the Lord does. He has a plan for all of his
children. I would encourage you to seek the answer in humble prayer. There are many things in this life that we are not meant to understand. Other
things, we
may come to understand through the still small voice of the Holy Sprit.
Pray, study the scriptures, and seek knowledge and comfort from the Lord through his Spirit. If you do this with a humble and sincere heart, I promise
you, that you will feel that comforting feeling of His spirit and that He is in control of all things and He does indeed have a plan for each one of
us.
Sincerely,
Donny Osmond
