Beliefs > Question & Answer > The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
| Question |
Hi, I'm just so sorry to read here that your LDS beliefs are so important to you Donny. I know it's very important as an individual to
have high ideals and then pass them on to your family & friends, but the LDS message has no truth at all, you are being deluded. I
don't want to pick you apart, but DO want to encourage you to ask questions and look for the REAL TRUTH... JESUS, as is taught in
the Bible, not the Book of Mormon or other additional literature your church may give you.
Please go to someone who can give you true answers, not just what has been passed around at your church. Living a life as a Christian is
a very personal one with the Living God, not a tradition or requirement to be obeyed as outlined by the church, it's a living
relationship. I hope you find the "Truthgiver' (Jesus), in Him is REAL life!
Blessings to you and your family, a friend in So Cal

It is very kind of you to be concerned about my religious well-being. You can imagine that you are not the first to attack
my beliefs without knowing very much about them and I am always amazed that people would do so and quote a 'mantra' that is
being given to you as additional
literature from members of your church.
I am further amazed that if you have had any time at all to read my 'Beliefs Page' or to study the Book of Mormon that you
somehow think that I have not found Jesus Christ. You are wrong. I have found Jesus Christ. He is my personal Savior. I
study His life daily as I read both the Bible and this lovely companion scripture, The Book of Mormon. I revere Him. I
love His teachings. My relationship with Him is a personal and on-going one. I try as best I can to live a
Christ-centered life and my wife and I do the very best we can to teach our children to love Christ and keep His
commandments and to be kind and charitable towards all men and women everywhere.
Thanks for your concern. It's just that you're at the disadvantage of not having any idea at all of what I believe or why.
Before you criticize and condemn The Book of Mormon as just some piece of worthless
literature, I invite you to read it, and if you do so with a sincere
heart, with real intent, and if you have faith in Christ, He will
manifest the truth of it to you by the gift and power of the Holy
Ghost. I have learned that personally, and I invite you to find the fullness of Christ's everlasting gospel (see
Revelations 14:6) by studying not only our beloved Holy Bible, but also the second witness for Christ, The Book of Mormon.
Once you do that, then you will know why I believe what I do.
Sincerely,
Donny Osmond
