There are two great things to consider. The first is, that when
you join the Church it may very well be that your mother, father, and
siblings and other friends will want to know why you did. If they will
take the time to hear exactly what you believe and why, they will come
to know the things that you are learning now.
The second great blessing is that if they do not have the opportunity
to hear and understand the gospel message in this life, they will
receive that opportunity in the Spirit World after they leave this earth
whereupon all blessings, not just some, but all, will be given to them.
(See 1 Peter 3:18-19 and 1 Peter 4:6). In addition, I would study
Doctrine and Covenants 138 very carefully and notice how all of this is
concluded. Our Heavenly Father knows and loves your parents, siblings,
friends and all of your ancestors. He is eager and anxious to bless them
and I assure you that the time will come that they will have the
opportunity to accept the Gospel according to their own free will. If
you will live a Christlike life
and always keep the commandments, your good example will serve to
invite them to learn all about what you believe.
In the meantime, God will
eventually provide them with an opportunity to hear and understand the
gospel message.
Sincerely,
Donny Osmond
