It's easy for people to maintain the perspective you state above if they do not believe what you and I believe. Most
people fear the unknown and it takes faith to believe that all will be well, and that our Heavenly Father's Celestial
Kingdom will be a marvelous, glorious, and wonderful place to be. People fear dying because they do not know if they'll
ever see their loved ones again. They fear dying because those terminal illnesses are relatively painful and no one likes
physical pain. People fear dying because they do not have faith sufficient to sustain them through the experience. Our
family is going through these very trying times right now with our mother in critical condition in the hospital. We want
her to stay here with us because we love her so much. But, we also know what lies in store for her if it be the Lord's will
to take her.
But to answer your question, it seems the best thing we can do is to continue to encourage others to see it the
Lords way and to live strong, exemplary lives so that people will have at least a little faith that there's something
better out there than what they have believed in. Perhaps a good example will help them.
(Bev's thoughts: I think one of the main reasons we want to be here, is because this life is wonderful too! I, for one, don't want to miss the hugs and kisses of my little ones, and my husband. It's a one dimensional perspective perhaps, but life here is good,
and dying and leaving that behind is hard to imagine. I do believe in a life beyond and I know it will be more glorious than this one, and family will be with me there too, but my perspective is narrowed by this mortal body.)
Sincerely,
Donny Osmond
