The answer to this question could go on for pages because I love
reading the scriptures everyday. I find tremendous peace and comfort
in both, the Bible and the Book of Mormon. It isn't always a specific
scripture that lifts or guides me spiritually, but it's the daily habit
of really "studying" the scriptures in its entirety that gives me the opportunity
to feel the Saviors love and guidance, and not just reading a few passages
from time to time.
There are a few that I would like to point out though, the first being
from the book of Alma, chapter 7, verses 11 & 12 in the Book
of Mormon. It states, "And he shall go forth
suffering pains and afflictions and temptations of every kind, and this
that the word might be fulfilled, which saith he will taketh upon himself
the pains and the sickness of his people, and he will take upon him death
that he may loose the bands of death which binds his people. And
he will take upon himtheir infirmities, that his bowels may be filled with
mercy according to the flesh, that he may know according to the flesh how
to succor his people according to their infirmities."
I love that one because it clarifies to me that if we will have complete
faith and trust in our Lord and Savior, his atoning sacrifice takes from
us, not only our sins, but also all of our grief, pain and afflictions,
and gives us peace.
The next is found in 3rd Nephi 9:13-14. (Book of Mormon) "will
ye not now return unto me, and repent of your sins, and be converted, that
I may heal you? Yea, verily I say unto you, if ye will come unto me ye
shall have eternal life. Behold, mine arm of mercy is extended towards
you, and whosoever will come, him will I receive; and blessed are those
who come unto me."
The Savior is the light and the life of the world, and those who believe
on his name will become the sons and daughters of God. Though our faith
may be really tested at times, I take great comfort in knowing that His
tender mercy and comforting spirit is offered to all of his children, and
not just to a select few. All we need to do is just stay faithful and
"Endure to the end".
In Ether 12:6 (Book of Mormon) it says, "I
would show unto the world that faith is things which are hoped for and
not seen; wherefore, dispute not because ye see not, for ye receive no
witness until after the trial of your faith."
And the companion scripture in that same twelfth chapter of Ether
verse 27, says, "And if men come unto
me I will show unto them their weakness. I give unto men weakness
that they may be humble; and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble
themselves before me; for if they humble themselves before me, and have
faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them."
Even though we may be called upon at times to be tried and tested, He
always promises his healing influence will be ours if we will maintain
our faithfulness and our righteousness.
There are many other scriptures which could be sited as well.
They include,
Proverbs 3:5-6
1st John 3:2
Hebrew 1:1-3
Acts 12: 1-19
Luke 24: 36-39
Matthew 25: 31-40
Alma 37:6
Doctrine & Covenants 6:22-23,
Doctrine & Covenants 122.
There are so many.

I hope this is helpful to you.
