| Question |
Let me get this straight: your church really believes in prophets that live
in the modern age?
|
| Response |
Yes, we do. Prophets have been sent by God to this earth from the
beginning of mankind's existence on the earth. Their purpose is to preach the gospel to the people and to state and restate
the mind and will of the Lord regarding His children and the necessity to keep His commandments. Does God loves us less
today then He did in the time of Moses, Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Jeremiah, Malachi, and others? Would He love us less today
then He loved His children at the time when Christ was upon the earth and when He and His apostles taught the gospel of
Jesus Christ to those people? It is true that today God has called a prophet on the earth who speaks for Him, who directs
the work of His church, and like prophets of old, he reiterates the mind and the will of the Lord to the people of this
day. As in times past, there are some that have heard and have believed, others have heard, but without belief. This has
always been the case.
Sincerely,
Donny Osmond
