| Question |
Hi Donny,
You have been my personal missionary for the past year.
I was hoping that you will continue to answer some more questions for me.
From what I have been reading, the Book of Mormon is supposed to contain the
"fullness" of the gospel.
Could you briefly summarize some points (2 or 3) you believe are in the Book
or Mormon that are not in the Bible. In other words, what points are
different or different in meaning or are new that are not in the Bible.
What makes it the "fullness", what is not included in the Bible?
Thanks, I cherish your opinions on these matters.

Let me answer the question which you asked in your email, which asked if I could briefly
summarize some points (2 or 3) that I believe that are in the Book of Mormon and not in the Bible. I assume that what you
were asking what points of doctrine are different or are new that are not in the Bible. You asked, "What makes it the
fullness? What is not included in the Bible?
I won't take time to quote the many verses, but rather to give you the scriptural reference so that you can take
time to study and ponder those particular references at your leisure. I think you'll find them so explicitly clear that it
will make the point.
The first one would be Moroni 8, the entire chapter, that deals with the baptism of little children. From there I would go
to Alma 40, which discusses the resurrection of the dead. Following that I would study Alma 41 and 42 to clarify even
further chapter 40. Following that I would see Alma 7:11-12, which speaks of the atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ and
exactly what it does for us. Go from there to 3 Nephi 11, which presents the appearance of the Savior to the Nephites
after He was crucified and resurrected. Then I would study 1 Nephi 13, which explains how some things were taken from the
original writings of the prophets.
As you can well see I have not even touched on many other things that you'll want to study hereafter, but these references
clarify some of the questions that cannot be answered using the Bible by itself. I hope this is helpful to you.
Sincerely,
Donny Osmond
