The Book of Revelation was written by the Apostle John
someplace between 78 and 90 AD while he was a prisoner
banished to the isle of Patmos, off the coast of Greece
. It contains revelations concerning the calamities and
judgments that will usher in Christ's Second Coming in
the very last days of the earth.
It is sometimes
difficult to understand all that John has said and
some of it is often taken metaphorically, nevertheless
its scriptural value and spiritual content is so
important to Heavenly Father's children. We are
reminded of the great value of living clean and pure
lives, and keeping all of God's commandments so that
we will be counted worthy to be spared the calamities
that will come in the last days.
We are reminded that the righteous will escape those
calamities.
I hope this is helpful to you.
