First of all let me speak for myself and say that I do not believe that there has been sufficient research to
determine if stem cell research is what they claim that it might be. It's a two-part problem. The first is, that
human embryo's are being used in the study. That alone is a problem because the question is, where did
that embryo come from, and what is the difference between an aborted fetus and a fertilized egg in a test
tube?
Anything at all which is a product of an abortion is an abomination in the sight of God and offends him. On
the other hand, testing and studying with an eye toward the healing of those who suffer from senility,
Alzheimer and other unnamed diseases should be applauded. However, instead of using fetus material
they could get the same result from testing material found in an umbilical cord for example.
If the intention of the scientist is to create human life through a "cloning" process that too is an offense in
the sight of God and he will not be mocked on these things. There has been a lot said in the name of
cloning, which was nothing more than "invetro-fertilization, " but if men otherwise think that they can play
God by some experimentation with "DNA/stem cell" research, they will be disappointed because they
forget one simple thing. He who created our spirits and sends them to the earth to be housed in the
bodies created by men and women who dwell on the earth through the natural process of childbirth, is and
will always be in charge of that procedure. I hope that this is helpful to you.
Sincerely,
Donny Osmond
