You are a child of God, as we all are. He created your spirit long before you ever came to this earth. He knew you and loved you and prepared you for this mortal probation. He is eager and anxious to have you learn of Him in every way, keep His commandments, and do all that must be done to be able to return to Him after you leave this life and live with Him through the eternities--not only you, but also with your loved ones.

You know from reading my beliefs page that we believe that families can be together forever, and that eternal marriage is a principle of eternal life.

You told me in your email that you and your young daughter were watching at Easter time a television show titled, "Jesus" and in those scenes where he was beaten and nailed to a cross, your little daughter began to cry and she asked if God took care of Jesus once it was obvious he had died. You rightly said, "Yes." You also told her that when Jesus passed on that God opened His arms and embraced Jesus telling Him how much He loved Him and that He had served Him well. You told me further that it was a very emotional time for the two of you and that you became emotional just thinking about it. You said that you told your daughter that when it was time to go, that if you continue to keep God in your heart, and in your prayers, that one day he would do the same with you as he did with Christ, that is, that he would greet you with open arms. You have said the absolute truth in your response to your sweet daughter. I love it that you know these things.

You said, "If I am fortunate enough to be there with God in Heaven when it is my daughter's time to join us, will I get to see what I believe is how God would handle her arrival to his kingdom?" The answer to that question, depends entirely on you because the Lord is willing to allow you to be part of her "welcome home" if you have lived a worthy life of truth, faithfulness, and Christ-centeredness.

I hope you won't think it presumptuous of me to ask if I might send two representatives from our Church to visit you to explain exactly what it is that we believe and why and how the blessing of eternal families can be yours. Naturally, I have no idea whether any of that would be important to you, but my feeling is that if you will take time to hear them, and then ask God in total sincerity of heart if their message is true, you will know by the power of the Holy Ghost whether or not it is and you'll be able to determine for yourself whether it was worth pursuing.
