My answer of necessity requires a very
lengthy dissertation, which this email does not have room for but I will try and answer it as best I can in the space and time available for this response.
I believe that people would want to join The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints because it is Christ’s church the very same church that He organized while on the
earth in the meridian time. It has been restored to the earth in these last days to a prophet called by God. Its organization is precisely as His was originally with a
foundation of apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief cornerstone.
The very same priesthood which he bestowed upon Peter, James, John, and all of the other apostles is on the earth today and the priesthood leadership of this church
have that same authority.
We believe in the sacredness and value of the family. We believe that families can be together forever through the eternities and we teach those principles of
Christ-centered family influence in the lives of our members.
We believe in God, the Eternal Father, in His son Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost. We believe that the first principles of the gospel are faith in the Lord Jesus Christ,
repentance, baptism by immersion for the remission of sins as well as the lying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost. We believe all things, we hope all things, we
have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things, if there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report, or praiseworthy we seek after these things.
I cannot think of anything that is a principle or doctrine of this church that people would not find meaningful in their lives.
Sincerely,
Donny Osmond
