One of God’s great, ever-changing principles is the principle of agency. That’s better said free agency. Men and women on this earth
have always been allowed to choose for themselves. God does not often do miraculous, sensational things to bring to pass His purpose,
but rather, works through mankind and situations so as to allow others to see clearly and discern between truth and error as to what is
right. Without such patience on His part, God could very easily have jumped into the middle of everything back when the apostles were
all being killed off one by one and fixed everything all up and stopped people from making mistakes. He could have even jumped into
the middle of the Council at Nicea in 325 AD and kept that group from interpreting the doctrines of Christianity which they chose as
representing God’s word.
It is my belief that our Heavenly Father is infinitely patient with His children. He allows the passage of time to prepare certain
situations to properly develop, and for great individuals to be born, and for these individuals to be classified among the "Reformers" to
create the proper condition and climate for the restoration of His true gospel. You can imagine how difficult and even impossible it would
have been for such things as a restoration of the gospel to come during the "Dark Ages," simply because there was no freedom of
religion as there finally was in the United States of America.
It is true that God works in mysterious ways, but I have no doubt that just as the scriptures from Christ and His apostles stated that in
the latter days would come a restoration of all things. I believe that has happened.
Sincerely,
Donny Osmond
