The answer to that question is that we are judged on both counts. That is, the Lord has given us the proper example by
which to live our lives and His commandments in order to bless our lives by avoiding sin.
We take upon ourselves the name of Jesus Christ by the way we live and treat others. If we learn the great blessing of charity which is
spoken of in I Cor. 13, if we are kind and compassionate, and always helpful to those in need, we have completed a major part of what
is required of us to return to live in the presence of our Heavenly Father through the eternities. Additionally, Christ has given us
commandments; not only the Ten Commandments, but also all of His instructions as listed throughout the New Testament. All of His
parables and other instructions to His disciples are for our use and consideration as well. As we learn to live in this Christ-centered way,
we will qualify ourselves for the blessings of eternity.
Sincerely,
Donny Osmond
