Beliefs > Question & Answer > Heavenly Kingdom
| Question |
I am not a member of your church but I would like to know your viewpoint on a
subject very important to me. Someone recently told me that animals do not
have souls and will not go to heaven or hell because when Adam and Eve were
sent out of the Garden of Eden, God separated man from animals. He also
claims that prior to the separation, animals had arms and legs and talked
with Adam, and that they live by instinct only. Because of this they cannot
tell the difference between right and wrong and therefore cannot obtain an
afterlife. I love animals and do not believe this can be true. What do you
believe?

| Response |
My viewpoint on this is that animals do have souls that are relative to animals, meaning not human. But, just as we love, our Heavenly Father, who
created them, also loves them. I’m confident that animals will have a place in His kingdom. That place you called hell has nothing to do with animals,
since they do not have the ability to reason between right and wrong. I hope this is helpful to you.
Sincerely,
Donny Osmond
