Question I know that your church does not allow premarital sex. However, what is the church's views on birth control?

Response Specifically, it is that the church discourages birth control generally, but gives no doctrine or policy regarding it past that. Rather, except for the prohibition of abortion, the church allows couples to make their own private, personal decisions on the use of birth control. You might be interested in a doctrine of our faith in which the Lord says, "it is not meet that I command men in all things, but that they do many things of their own free will and choice to bring to pass much righteousness, for the power is in them."

As a consequence, members are directed by the leadership of our church to make it a matter of personal prayer and faith as to their individual uses of birth control.

Sincerely,

Donny Osmond
