I have
not been in all temples when I said a sealing room could hold between 40 and 100 people. I should have clarified that in my experience of
being in the sealing rooms of both the Salt Lake City and the Los Angeles temples. Those rooms could hold precisely those numbers. In one
of our smaller temples, such as Hawaii, the largest sealing room holds approximately 45 people.
You said that most ceremonies you have attended had 10-20 family members in attendance.
As you probably realize, once the appointment is made for the sealing, the question is asked, "Approximately how many people do you
anticipate attending the sealing?" When the number is told, the room is then assigned. There are some small sealing rooms that hold only
10-12 people, and there are larger ones to hold the larger groups. I wouldn’t want to argue the point further, but it might be helpful if you
contacted any of the temples and asked what the largest-sized group they could handle is for a temple sealing. I’m sure they will tell you.
Sincerely,
Donny Osmond
