Beliefs > Question & Answer > Heavenly Kingdom
| Question |
I don't belong to any church. However, I am interested in pursuing a
relationship with one. Although there are so many religions to choose from,
I tend to steer away from those that preach that their religion is the only
one that will get them into heaven. Do the LDS churches proclaim that
non-LDS members will not enter heaven? If this is not so with your church,
how do you respond with churches who teach this to their members?

| Response |
What we teach is that God our Eternal Father, and His Son, Jesus Christ, are infinitely fair, kind and loving toward all of Heavenly Father’s
children. All men and women who ever walked the earth will be judged according to what they know and how they live their lives based on
what they know. Those who accept Jesus Christ and the fullness of his gospel, who live righteously throughout their lives, who are
Christ-centered, who are filled with charity and strive to help others, and who keep all of Christ’s commandments, will inherit the very highest
degree of glory in the celestial kingdom of our Heavenly Father.
If men and women do not have the opportunity to hear and understand the gospel while they are on this earth, they will receive that blessing
after they die and go to the spirit world (See 1 Peter 3:18-19 and 1 Peter 4:6). If they accept the gospel in that circumstance, they will also
have the same opportunity to live with our Father through the eternities.
Sincerely,
Donny Osmond
