You are right in your last statement that it is contrary to what most Christian religions believe, but that does not necessarily mean that they know and understand the truth. Let's consider
what the Holy Bible has to say on that subject. Let's look at John 3:16: "For God so loved the world that He gave His Only Begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not
perish, but have everlasting life." If God, our Heavenly Father, is not the Father of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, what should we think about the words "His Only Begotten Son?" A
companion scripture to that would be John 1:14. Again, we find the words ".the Only Begotten of the Father."
We do in fact believe that the words of scripture are true. He is the Only Begotten Son of God our Heavenly Father in the flesh upon the earth. The word begotten means conceived and
born. One additional scripture on that point is I John 4:9.
To these scriptures, I would add Luke 1:28-35, which is well known to all of us who believe in the divinity of Jesus Christ. Should we believe that the angel Gabriel did not speak the
truth to Mary when he announced that she would "conceive" in her womb and "bring forth a Son" and "He shall be called the Son of the Highest?" Exactly how that would happen is not
clear, but we know that He is the Son of God.
In conclusion, I would return to your concluding statement in your e-mail, that if all of this is true, it is contrary to what the Bible and other Christian denominations believe. I cannot speak
for the confusion which might exist on other Christian religions on this subject, but I can clearly say what the Holy Bible has to say on it, and I hope this is helpful to you.
Sincerely,
Donny Osmond
