Question Throughout the ages there have been both archeological and historic findings which have validated the reliability and uniqueness of the Holy Bible. Other than prayerful consideration of The Book of Mormon and The Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-day Saints, what historic and archeological evidence exists to validate The Book of Mormon?

Response Thank you for your May 11th e-mail concerning archaeological and historical findings relative to the Book of Mormon. There are many, but it would be impossible for me to properly treat that subject in this e-mail. If you will go to your nearest LDS bookstore or to Deseret Book, you will find several books on this subject. They are fascinating. You must remember, however, that the proof of the truthfulness of the Book of Mormon will not be found in archaeological evidence. That’s only interesting and fun to compare. The deep and abiding testimony that one gains about the truthfulness of the book is found in carefully and prayerfully studying it. In my lifetime, as I have done this, I have come to understand and love it more and more.

Sincerely,

Donny Osmond
