Why does the 'Christian faith' not approve of the Mormon Faith?
|
| Response |
I guess I don't understand why the Christian faith does not approve of the Mormon faith. We both believe that Jesus was the son of God and died for our sins, so
that we may have everlasting life in our fathers kingdom.
Like you, I do not understand why other Christian faiths do not approve of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormons). It is always amazing to me to hear that some other denominations believe that we are not Christian, which is so surprising since the name of our church contains His name. Along with the Holy Bible, we have an additional book of scripture entitled the Book of Mormon. Mormon was the name of a prophet who lived in the Americas at about 400 AD. He compiled the writings of fifteen former prophets concerning the workings of the Lord with those who inhabited the Americas from 600 BC to 400 AD. The full
title of this book is The Book of Mormon, Another Testament of Jesus Christ. It teaches of Christ and invites all men to come unto Christ. In spite of that, there are misinformed people who speak against us as non-Christians.
I hope this is helpful.
Sincerely,
Donny Osmond
