I have the world's best Mom. I lost my husband is Mar 07 and brother in Dec 08...We were a lot like Donny and Marie always kidding around, just didn't have the talent LOL. I was given a dream gift by my late husband and brother to go to Vegas and see Donny and Marie with my Mom in Nov 09 plus a whole week of surprises they had planned. ( He did to me like the movie PS I Love You ) It has changed my life in so many ways. I have two special angels looking after me.

In 03 and 07 I had some bad falls which in June 09 started to show spinal damage, since that time, November 09 it started to move fast. Now I have to use a walker, cane, also need to use a scooter for longer distances. I live in pain 24/7. I 'm blessed each day I can walk a little bit, now am losing the use of my right hand. I know one day I may not be able to walk but am O.k. I have been blessed by being able to do so many thing other’s could only dream of. It's been a hard few years. I always believe everything happen for a reason. You just have to get off the wheel of life, stop, listen and you'll find out what the lesson is you have to learn. I keep fighting and looking for new medical help as I know I can some how give it my best shot to beat it. I have been blessed in so many way. Always trying to take the negative in life and turning it into positive NOT always the easiest thing to do. Yet it is all part of our own life journey. I wish that everyone in the world could experience the love Michael and I had...He gave me butterflies, lite up my life right till his last breath. It was a special gift to have been able to have him 5 1/2 months more after his brain injury. We keep a journal that one day will be a book to help many people. Just by what we were able to share on our journey. I never knew how our love affected people till he was gone. Then people began to share what they saw in us. OH how blessed I was.

Now it's time for me to start a new page in my book of life. When Donny told us of the M.A.D. program my mind went wild YES !!! I knew then what my next page of life would be. I began working day and night on an idea. With the MAD contest it has given me a purpose that I now may be able to share my own life experiences good and bad. This has given me the experience to help heal a lot of hearts, as well as help people through their own Life Challenges... With all the support of all the Donny.com family, the community here we WILL be able to M.A.D . We can reach to the moon and stars... From people here as they know me If I can make someone smile in a day or help heal a broken heart that's when I'm the happiest. They are watching me come alive again as they have said the twinkle is back in my eyes..I'm so excited. I love to listen to people, helping when I can. Sometimes people just need some one who cares and I guess in a nut shell that’s me.
I believe with my heart we all have a purpose in life, lessons to learn and a purpose to live...It’s just we all need to STOP and get off the wheel of life and open our hearts up to hear what it is. May God keep you all safe till we meet and most of all REMEMBER: Live life to the fullest as no one knows what's around the next corner. Hold tight to the people you love...Its a gift

Well to add to my story dreams do come true. First of all THANK YOU Donny.Comer's, for voting for me and my MAD project this is one program we all can work on. I will be posting the threads as well as putting it on my face book. Second I would have to say most important, another thanks to Donny.Comer's where a friendships through chat and the meeting of people here, love has blossomed like a rose in full bloom. NEVER SAY NEVER because when the time is right it happens, I have fallen in Love and as most of you know Willem and I are going to be married. On Jan 06 2011 we were registered in Holland as being married as they do things in a different order there. Then on Sept 09 2011 we will have our church Wedding. I always knew you had a soul mate but never fully understood the true meaning as people have so many different opinions. Well thanks to our dear match makers here, my life had just been changed again with all the love and support from the Donny .com family. They say things happen for a reason I can tell you how true this is...Have faith everyone who reads this as there is sunshine after every rain and storms. I can say I have found mine and have been blessed. I could only wish everyone in the world could feel this way. Not only once I thought I was blessed but now a second time. I have some very special angels working very hard that I'm so thankful for. Anyone reading this just have faith and when you get off the wheel of life and really ask what am I to do. Still your heart and wait for the answer it will come to you. We are all blessed but sometimes we forget to stop and listen to our hearts. ***Who would of thought how that gift of love left for me from my late husband and big brother to Donny and Marie would of changed my life. At a time I had really only want to give up and went down to 82 lbs., ill hospitalized, my mother was told I may not make it...Now look at the change... Something wouldn't let me give up inside. Funny how he knew what I would do, as he left me many letter’s and gifts for one year then the final letter he left was going to change my life. Yes it was a love story...As we always said on his good day we flew with the wind on his bad days I carried him with my love. We kept it a secret that we knew he may not make it and we had a 6 month window so we could spend our time together and share as much as we could. Holding on to the short time we both called a gift from God to say good-bye. We never gave up hope for a miracle ... As many would say we never received one, as he was taken home. You must understand we were given a gift as he died on the operating table and was brought back to me for us to help each other in his last day’s. That was a blessing...I could say more but one day it will be in a book for all to share.

INTRODUCTION:

I lost my husband in 2008 after a 51/2 month battle from a brain injury. As we would always say “ On his good days we flew with the wind and on his bad days I carried him with my love”. I went through a very difficult time feeling lost and alone. I became very ill, lost the will to live and nearly died. Friends drifted away as they didn’t know what to say or do to help which is very normal after a loss. One day a friend said “you have always been our strength, have always been there to help everyone, now we just don’t know what to say or do to help you”. They were all afraid they may say the wrong thing when really all I wanted was someone to just be there. Due to a back injury from a few years ago I became disabled. I was unable to drive, had to begin to use a cane and walker as my legs would give out without warning, the pain was excruciating but I fight each day to keep positive and not give up for hope. My life was turned upside down but I knew in my heart there was a reason. I lived in a home that was always buzzing with activity and lots of love to empty walls full of memories. Then my older brother suddenly passed on as I was at his side, my mother developed a heart condition. I knew I had to get a grip on my life and do something. My Mother and step-Father did everything in their power to make my life bearable. My Mother spent hours listening to me and taking me places to help me heal. I was given a letter from my late husband on my 50th birthday, he wanted me to help people not go through what we did in our 5 1/2 months after his accident, he asked me to use the gift I had been given at birth for always helping and caring for people he told me to live again. He some how knew what I was going to go through when he wrote this letter. Just before he took ill we were planning 3 back to back vacation one being a trip to Las Vegas to see the Donny and Marie show was one of the main trips. He knew the admiration I had for Donny and the Osmond Family all my life. He wrote “They have always pulled you through hard times before, so please go and see them and make your dream come true in memory of me” Along with friends and family, I decided to take my Mother and we made the trip. Not knowing the impact it would have on my life. I had been so concerned about my mother I hadn’t taken time to mourn the loss of my brother. During the show the camaraderie between Donny and Marie brought so many memories of my brother and I teasing and goofing around. Then the thoughts of my husband last gift to me, was just to much. I had a complete melt-down after the show and the compassion shown to me by both Donny and Marie changed my life. I really wanted to live again. From that meeting the purpose of my life began to become clearer. Through my life I have had challenges but always knew deep inside there was a lesson to learn and a reason for everything even as a very young child. I always tried to find the positive in a negative situation and there were many. One day, I got off the wheel of life and really analyzed my life. This is the hardest thing you can do. Then after a period of time realized all the challenges I had experience many other’s had as well. My conclusion was there has to be a way to help people with their life’s challenges by using my own life challenges. This was the reason and answer, for all my own life challenges and lessons I’ve had to experience in life To be able to help other’s. I was determined to start a support PC group.
When Donny announced the MAD contest I visualized incorporating my ideas into the program. Due to a back injury I cannot work so this was an answer to my prayers.

MY MISSION:

To start a PC Support Group – M.A.D. With Your Heart. The Osmond's are a true example of a family of Love, Caring and Support in this crazy world we live in. How blessed I feel to have the opportunity to have been chosen to start a M.A.D. program with 9 other great people, all with great causes to spread the word M.A.D. around the world. Why not have a world-wide extended family of Donny.com to show the world that we are not just a FAN CLUB but a FAMILY that cares, shares has fun and is here to support everyone in their time of need. This is a program we all can be involved with..

The smallest gesture can mend a broken heart or even change someone’s life, a kind word, a smile, a listening ear, a long over due phone call, a lending hand, a prayer, a gentle touch, a song, an inspirational thought, a pc card, the things we can do are endless. Without even knowing it you just may mend a broken heart or even change a person’s life with Make A Difference With Your Heart .

I know I am reaching for the stars, but what better place to reach for !!! This heart tree has many branches. It was started with a seed that Donny planted at the GT which was me with an idea. Here’s hoping it will flourish into a full grown tree as it gets fuller and fuller of hearts which everyone will have helped nourish along the way. For me this is not a one year project, but a life-time commitment to show the world we can all M.A.D. WITH YOUR HEART... Lets start to M.A.D. With Your Heart to M.A.D. in this crazy world of ours. There are so many broken hearts and lonely people out there we know, that just need to know someone cares. Most of all they are not alone in facing their challenge’s life may throw their way... BEST of all it FREE to give!!!

The most humbling part of my program has touch me in ways I can’t explain. As of today 38 life's have been saved.Presently I am dealing with 12 people who wanted to give up on life have admitted themselves into Hospital or for help. It brings tears to my eyes to think that the PC is where people have turned to and I feel blessed that I was able to help. M.A.D. WITH YOUR HEART: UPDATE APRIL/2010 – Nov 2011

Mother’s Day this year was very emotional to hear the hurt in so many people e-mails as of lost parents or illness. Then during Memorial Weekend in the USA I honored the Soldier’s and their families all weekend with messages, songs, and poems. I received many e-mail from soldiers aboard thanking me for taking the time to think of them yet reminding us to think of the people over there as well. M.A.D WITH YOUR HEART --- LETTER’S TO THE SOLDIER’S branch has begun...With a total of 500 letter’s received so far. WITH YOUR HEART – ANGEL sales are 93 to date they can be purchased through www.fern@yahoo.com for $20 Canadian which half goes towards the Children Miracle Network. Donation of 750 Dollars was made to date. 68 countries are onboard on the global maps, doing and sharing ideas on a daily base, family nights, children in schools and day cares are still continuing to do projects to take home to their Father’s and Mother’s on how they can M.A.D. With Your Heart. * The M.A.D. WITH YOUR HEART PRAYER CHAIN has reached the heaven’s as it has become uncountable as thousand of people are joining in holding hands around the world in prayer. People are passing it from prayer group to prayer group as well as person to person WORLD WIDE. The M.A.D. WITH YOUR HEART – PURPLE HEARTS TREE AND WORLD MAP has hit over 35,000 purple hearts on record and now has become uncountable. It is beyond amazement on how it is spreading and blooming out as people are waking up and reminding themselves to STOPPING everyday as they are LISTENING, LOOKING, HEARING from their HEARTS. Yet have many people who this is another hard time of the year but people know they are not alone and the e-mail are coming in. * As of today the most humbling part that has touched me in way's I can’t explain. We have 38 people that are receiving help and are looking at life in a whole new way, rather then ending it. In the last month 5 lives were lost I cannot explain or say anymore except how sad and heart breaking it is to see and hear their stories. As many say you can’t understand till you hold a dyeing mans hand. But when it a young child that brings you to your knee’s in tears and prayer’s for the families and friends. That’s all I can say on this. * As I said before it brings tears to my eyes to think the PC is where people have turned to and I feel blessed that I have been able to be there for so many yet humbled in ways there are no words to explain. It is strange yet so humbling on how it doesn’t seem to matter where I go people are drawn to me for a kind word , smile, shoulder to cry on , or just someone to talk with that cares*** I am living what I say to everyone and I really BELIEVE with my HEART it is what is MAKING A DIFFERENCE WITH YOUR HEART is all about.
