About juniemarie
O.K., let's see... what can I say about myself...?
Hmmmm... I've got it! I love Donny! I've loved him since I was a little girl. And even though I've been happily married for (many) years, I will always have a soft spot in my heart for Donny.
And then, there's this:
In February, my sister & I went to the Donny & Marie show in Vegas. Donny & Marie were very personable and charming, and seemed quite down to earth - they made us feel very comfortable. We were able to chat with them for a few moments (after the hug) while they signed their photos. And I actually made them laugh! I told them about something that happend when I was a teenager living in Utah:
One day, after I got home from school, the phone rang & I answered it. "Is Donny there?" a girl's voice asked.
"Donny who?" I asked.
"Donny Osmond," the girl said, "Isn't this Marie?"
Thinking someone was playing a practical joke, I decided to play along. "Yes, this is Marie," I said. (My middle name is "Marie," so it wasn't entirely untrue...) "How did you get this number?" I asked, injecting just the right amount of suspicion into my voice.
"My friend gave it to me," she said. Then I heard her say in an excited voice to someone on the other end of the line, "I'm talking to Marie!" Then, to me she said, "Will you give Donny a message?"
"Sure," I said.
"She's going to give him my message!" she relayed giddily to her friend. Speaking to me again, she said, "Will you tell him that I called?"
"Sure," I said again, "as soon as I see him."
"You promise?" she asked, "You won't forget, will you?"
"No, I promise - as soon as I see him."
Both Donny & Marie were laughing at this point, and Donny said, "And now you've kept your promise!"
"Yeah, but for the life of me I can't remember what her name was. But, whoever she was, she called - and now I've finally given you her message."
