Hello, everyone.
I'm in Atlantic City right now preparing for the last gig of the year, and what a year it's been! I can't thank you all enough for the support you've shown. I just found out that the CD went platinum! Thank you all so much. What a way to end the year.
Another bit of news that didn't make the D-news letter is that we may be able to show the "An Audience With" show that I did in the UK with Westlife, Blue and my brothers, over here in the US as well. No details on it right now but I will be sure to let you all know about it in the next month or two in my D-news letter.
I hope you all have a wonderful holiday and Christmas season, and I hope that next year can be a happy, and peaceful one for you and yours.
Thanks for your entries in my guest book, all the emails that you send to me on my web site, and thanks for your support as I celebrate 40 years in showbusiness tomorrow night. I have the best fans anyone could ever ask for.

Jackie,
Thanks for your entry in the guest book. Yes, I did arrive home safely. Thank you, and I will pass your well wishes on to my mother. You mentioned that there have been some articles written after I left the UK. Would you send them to me, please. I would love to post some of them on my web site.
Thanks again,

Donny

Hi everyone. I'm in Las Vegas getting ready for the final week of shows on this leg of the tour. It's been great! I appreciate all the emails and gifts throughout this whole tour. I appreciate all the kind entries in my guest book as well. My family and I are looking forward to a nice quiet vacation next week for the rest of the summer. I'm looking forward to the GT this week and hope that those of you who got on the list will have a great time. I'm not sure when the next one will be. To all of you overseas, I still don't know what the schedule will be like this fall. There are so many things going on right now, plus, and most importantly, I want to be with my family. I've been away so much doing promotion on my CD.
Again, Thanks for the guest book entries and emails. I do get them and read them.
Take care and keep checking Donny.com

Hello everyone. -- Well the tour is almost over. It's been busy, it's been hectic, but I must say I have had a great time. I've really enjoyed seeing so many familiar faces and meeting so many new ones as well. I appreciate the support and warm greetings that I have received in every city.

I really enjoy reading your emails from this guest book. I will be honest with you and let you know that it is literally impossible for me to read every single one of them but I scan through them them when I have a quiet moment. So keep on putting your entries in. I have met some people out here on the road that have actually become friends through this guest book.

I have some more ideas on cool things to put on the web site, and as soon as the tour is over we'll be implimenting those.

Thanks again for all your support.

Hi everyone. Over here in London, England right now and I've been doing loads of press. I performed on the Top Of The Pops last night and it will air on the 19th and 20th of April and a repeat on the 21st. I was told last night that the last time I did that show was back in '75! The record is released over here day after tomorrow (Monday the 9th). I'm very excited about it. The Brian Conley Show airs tonight and the Graham Norton Show airs on the 13th with a repeat on the 18th. I've been reading the entries on my guest book and it's great to hear from so many people from all over the world. From all over the States, Mexico, Ireland, England, Canada, all over Europe, New Zealand, Australia, Scotland, Sweden and all over the Netherlands, I even read a letter from India! So thank you for all your kind words, particularly regarding my CD "This Is The Moment". I really enjoy singing this music and can hardly wait for the tour to start. I am planning to bring the tour over to the UK market and possibly into some of the other European areas as well at the end of the year. The US portion will begin in May and it's going to be great to get back out on the road with my music. Thanks again for all your entries and logging on to Donny.com.

Hi. I'm in Atlanta right now and just having a great time reading all your guest book entries. I just finished appearing on the two PBS stations here and had a great time. The ticket giveaway is starting tonight on my web site. Good luck with that. It's going to be a fun tour. Well it's late and I have early morning interviews tomorrow. Thanks again for all your guest book entries. I hope you enjoy the new cd and my pbs special. Looking forward to seeing all of you these next few months of touring.

Thank you everyone for your support during my NY PBS concert. I had such a great time. What a thrill it was to be able to perform this album for the first time. Vanessa Williams was absolutely terrific. Even Debbie agreed that she was fantastic. I look forward to the tour this summer and I hope that you can join me.

Thanks again,

Hi everyone. I can't thank you enough for all of the emails you have been sending me for my birthday. What a great celebration it's been. I really appreciate all of the gifts as well that I've received during the Jim Brickman tour. My bags are stuffed as tight as they can be. I need to get home soon to unload all of it. Debbie told me that she doesn't think she needs to get me anything for my birthday because I've gotten so many gifts these past couple of days. I have a feeling she did though. I fly home right after we film the ending to the "Inside The Osmonds" movie tomorrow here in Winnipeg. Speaking of that, I'm going to make this very short because it's 3:30 am and we start at 9. It's going to be so much fun, being together as a complete family again in one place. People magazine is covering it but I'm not sure when it will be out. Guess I better sign off. Thanks again everyone for making my 29th birthday (yeah, right!) a great one.

Hi everyone. Yes, it’s been a long time since I’ve signed the guest book and I do apologize for that. I’ve taken a lot of personal time since the cancellation of the Donny and Marie show. I took my family to Hawaii and all sorts of places to make up for the lost time in doing the talk show. It was the best summer of my life. Speaking of the Donny and Marie show, So many entries since that announcement speculated that it was coming back. The answer to that is no. I think I’m done doing the talk show circuit for a while. I really enjoyed doing that for two years and there are things that I will miss tremendously. But I must say that now that I have some time on my hands I can do some things that I really have wanted to do for a long time... like record my album. In fact, I’m in NY right now and the project is under way. Phil Ramone is producing it and it will be released on the Universal Classics label around March of next year. There will be a television special to launch it and as always, stay tuned to my web site for more information as to the airing date of that show. If the record company will allow, I'll put a sample of some of it on the new web site. Speaking of my web site, I am going through a whole new design process for my site. I’m hoping that you will see whole new thing by November. It will be very informative and interactive with many entertaining and insightful additions as well as changes. I did an appearance on a show called Daddio that will air tomorrow night. (This being Sunday, September 24). I had so much fun playing a different character. I would love to do more of that. Well, that’s about it for now other than the fact that it’s great to have my son home from his mission in England and another so waiting anxiously for his assignment that should come next week. Debbie, the boys and I send our best wishes to you all and thank you for all the support over the years. I look forward to many more years to come.

Sincerely,
Donny Osmond

PS. Yes, I do read your guest book entries. :-)

Hi everyone. It's been a long time since I've entered anything in the guest book. Life gets way too busy right?! I'm in North Carolina today. Marie and I are interviewing the cast of Dawson's Creek for our show. So much has happened this year. I don't even know where to start. The show is obviously keeping me very busy and the time I do have off I'm with Debbie and the boys, who, incidentally are doing great. Don's doing well in England on his mission. We had a great time seeing him while we were there filming Joseph. That video comes out in England this November and here in the States around springtime. Thank you very much for watching our show. We are having so much fun, despite the fact that the hours are long and tedious. I've been receiving many comments that you want more music from me on the show. I would love to and maybe our producers will allow me to do more in the future. There are many people that go into making a show like this. It's not just Marie and me. We have some of the greatest producers this year. The staff gets along so well and if you get a chance to come and see a taping, you'll see what I mean. It's a very devoted group of people and Marie and I are lucky to work with them. It's very competitive out there in TV land and just the fact that we are in our second season says a lot about the commitment of not only our staff and those who work so hard to get it on the air and keep it there, but it says a lot about you the viewer and your loyalty. There are so many station managers and program directors out there that believe in our show and Marie and I are so appreciative. I think the show is so much better than the first season. Marie and I are much more relaxed and at ease with each other and it shows. We have a great time working together. I hope that you continue to watch and we are going to do our very best to put out some great shows. In regards to my music, I anticipate having an album ready by summer of 2000. I'm working on finding the right songs for it. It's a long arduous process but I want it to be right. I want to thank everyone who bought my book last summer. That was a very difficult but cathartic experience for me. I was dubious about writing certain things but I figured that if I'm going to write an autobiography, it better be honest. Otherwise, why do it! Well, that's about it for now. Got to get to work. Thanks for visiting my web page. BTW, I'm finally getting to the point where I can reply to some of the questions in the "My Beliefs" page for those of you who have been asking questions. So check that out in the next couple of weeks. By for now, Donny Osmond

Hi everyone. I'm sitting in my dressing room after a long day at the studio. Marie and I are really having a good time with this show. I'll be honest and tell you that it was real tough at the beginning but now we are just having the time of our lives. We are getting some great guests and they tell us that they are really enjoying doing the show. Marie and I really do appreciate the support you have been giving us.  We also love to hear from you as well. I don't get opportunities like this very often because of my crazy schedule to sit down at the computer and make entries, but I do get to read them quite often so keep on signing into my guest book. I really enjoy reading your messages. It's also very helpful to know what you like to see on our show. Feel free to contribute your ideas. Once again, thanks for your support.
Sincerely,

Hello everyone. Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Holidays! First of all, I want to thank all of you who sent me birthday greetings. I received over 400 entries in the guest book alone. That's not counting letters and cards. So thank you very much. It made 41 a little easier. :-) I'm sorry that I haven't had a chance to make an entry in so long. I have been incredibly busy with the new show, etc. This is the first time I've had a few minutes to myself in quite awhile. The Donny and Marie show has kept me so busy. We are really enjoying doing the show despite the hours. I'll be home for Christmas (sounds like a great title for a CD.) :-) for the next two weeks and believe me, I'm going to enjoy every second of it. Jeremy wants to teach me how to snow-board. You may see me on the show with a cast! Don is planning on calling us from England on Christmas Day. I really look forward to talking with him. In his letters, he sounds like he is really enjoying his mission over there. Brandon, Christopher and Josh are doing great. I bought the kids a present but I don't want to announce it here because I don't want to take the chance of it getting back to Deb. Oh, I'll be sleeping on the couch come Christmas night. :-) I'll have Pat tell you all about it on the 25th. Anyway, from my family to yours, we wish you a very happy holiday season and may our Father in Heaven's blessings be with you and yours. Sincerely, Donny Osmond

Hi everyone. First of all, I love hearing your comments about our new show. Marie and I are having the time of our lives. It is a lot of work, let me tell you, but we really are having a great time. We have found that people want us to sing more so we definitely will be doing more of that. We are currently working on next week shows and I think they are so much better than our first week shows. It's too bad that our first show was pre-empted by Clinton's fiasco in many markets. I think that was the best of last weeks. again, I love to hear your comments. I also would like to know who you would like to see on the show. We'll do our best to get them on. Speaking of guests, Jerry Springer is taping with us today. I'm not sure when it will air next week but this is going to be an interesting interview. We're looking forward to talking with him. They're calling me for rehearsals so I gotta go. Talk to you soon, Donny

Hi everyone. I am in New York right now. Tomorrow I'll be on Good Morning America and then on Friday I'll be on "The View". This is a promotional trip for Mulan. Speaking of Mulan, I can hardly wait to see your comments on this film. I went to the premier in LA with Debbie and the boys and I gotta tell ya, it was one of the most exciting times in my career! What a great film. I may be a little biased, as well as my wife and children, but it will be fun to read the comments from all of you. I've been doing so much press for it and everyone I have talked to, without exception, has loved this movie. Adults seem to like it as much as the children. Marie and I officially started our show on Monday. We met some of the staff and we'll be meeting everyone involved on Monday morning. This is going to be a fun project. I can't wait to get started. It would be fun to get some feedback from all of you as to who you would like to see on the show. Thanks for all of your guest book entries. I really enjoy reading them. I don't get the chance to answer all of them but they sure are interesting to read. Take care, Donny

Hi everyone. I first want to wish all the mom's a very happy Mother's Day. I also want to thank all of you for your kind wishes for Debbie's and my 20th anniversary. (And they said it wouldn't last…. HA!) We couldn't be happier. Also, thank you for all your emails and gifts for our new little addition to our home, Joshua. I must say, he is the cutest little thing I've ever seen. My wife and kids, including Cocoa, just got back from visiting my Father and Mother. We went to wish Mother a Happy Mother's Day. For those of you who may not know, my mother has suffered from a number of minor strokes. She seems to be doing fine but your prayers on her behalf would really be appreciated. I'm off to San Francisco to have a photo session with Marie. These will be used for the upcoming promotion for our new show. I can't tell you how excited we both are for this. I'm a little overwhelmed and I'm sure Marie is too because of the amount of work involved, but I know that we are going to have the time of our lives. Well, it's Sunday night and we usually have Family Night on Sundays, so I better sign off. Thanks again for all your entries in the guest book. Sincerely, Donny Osmond

Note: Donny submitted this on Saturday, the 17th but it didn't go through so it was resubmitted by Chris on Sunday.

It is intermission right now and I just want to say that I'm having the time of my life here in SLC doing Joseph. It is such a blast looking out there and seeing friends, relatives and family. What a way to end this show of Joseph. Thanks everyone for your support and all your messages on the guest book. Marie and I are going to be in New Orleans starting Monday as we start the promotion of the new Donny and Marie show at the NATPE convention. We are really excited about it. It will be as strange getting back together with her as it was getting back with the cast of Joseph. I'm sure she and I will have as much fun as the entire cast of Joseph are having here in SLC. Take care, Donny

Hi everyone. Just sitting here at my computer catching up on my email and other business. Can't do anything else at the moment since I have the flu. On top of that, last Wednesday I had surgery on my right knee; torn cartilage!!!!! Dr. said I'll be ready for Joseph on the 12th though. Thank goodness. I would have a lot of people mad at me. Most of them being relatives. :-) Happy New Year everyone, and I hope that '98 will be a great year for us all. Sincerely, Donny

Hi everyone. It's been a while since I've put an entry in the guestbook. Even though [I've answered some individual entries as I've had time,] I thought it would be appropriate to send all of you a year end message. First of all, I want to thank you for all of the great birthday wishes. I couldn't believe all the entries into the guestbook, as well as the cards and gifts I received. I have to say that some of them were pretty funny in reference to my young age! And yes, I do still have a sense of humor. HA!

I had a nice, quiet, birthday at home with my family. The boys really gave me a hard time about turning the big Four-Oh. They decorated the living room all in black with black balloons. They gave me all the things that a geriatric would need. You can well imagine what I got. Just use your imagination! :-) But, you know, forty doesn't really feel that bad. Maybe the old saying that "Life begins at 40" is true!

I had every intention on taking it real easy after I stopped doing "Joseph" last May. Well, intentions and reality became two different things. As you know, I did my Christmas album during that time and worked very hard on it. I must say that out of all the albums that I've done, I like this one the best. I completed the "Best of Donny & Marie" and really like the way that it turned out as well. We finished moving into our new home and anyone that has moved in their lives knows that this can be a tedious experience. Then with all of the promotion work involved with the Christmas CD and "Four" I've been on the go a lot. It is now Christmas Eve and I'm taking it easy!!!!!

Many of you know by now that Debbie and I are going to be blessed with a fifth son this coming March. Yes, we do know it's a boy! We're still trying to decide on names. What do you think of Vladimir? :-) I'm kidding of course. We can hardly wait for his arrival.

1998 is going to be an exciting year. I'm going back to do "Joseph" for about 6 weeks here in Salt Lake City, UT. I know I told everyone that last May would be the very last performance, but Andrew Lloyd Webber wants to do the home video version and has asked me to play the role. It's a real honor to be asked since there have been so many people that have played the role. He just completed "Cats" in London, "Joseph" will be next and I'm sure that he's thinking of doing most all of his musicals, including "Phantom" in the near future.

After that is done, Marie and I will be starting pre-production for the new "Donny & Marie show" premiering Fall of '98. We are both so anxious to start that. It will be so much fun to work together again after all of these years. Speaking of Marie, I went to her premiere performance on Broadway for "The King and I." I was so overwhelmed by her performance. And what a voice she has. You can tell that a lot of time and training went into that role. My congratulations to her.

I just saw my performance on "Rosie's" show today. I have to say that I am so relieved about burying the hatchet with her. It was a funny bit, but I'm glad it's over. You're never going to believe what she wanted me to do. After my song, she was going to come out and thank me for being on. Then, I was suppose to hand her a present and say I got you something for Christmas. She opens it to find a "Thigh Master!" I said "Rosie, I can't do that. Most of America hates me now for what I said. Now you want me to completely bury myself?" She agreed that it may be a little harsh. We both had a good laugh about it and decided to bring the whole bit to a close. Thank goodness!

Well, I have a couple of items to pick up today before I'm ready for Christmas. No matter how early you start shopping, there is always a last minute rush. Thanks again for the birthday wishes, as well as your support. Keep on sending your comments to my guestbook. Even though I don't get a chance to answer each one of them individually, I do read them and sincerely enjoy your comments. I download them into my computer so when I'm on a plane, I get my computer out and read them.

I hope you all have a great holiday season wherever you may be around the world. Today being December 24th, I wish those of you celebrating Hanukkah, a very happy and safe eight days. Tomorrow may your lives be filled with joy as we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. I hope that we all may have a tendency to be kind to those with whom we come in contact with, and to make amends with those with whom we may have ill feelings towards. Even if it's for just one day, may we all have "Peace on earth, and good will towards everyone."

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you all.

Sincerely,

Donny Osmond

Hi everyone. Thank you for all the emails regarding our newest addition. We are looking forward to this new baby so much. I think it's a boy! I'll be sure to let you all know as soon as we find out in about two months or so. I printed out your emails and gave them to Deb. She really appreciated it. The Christmas album sounds so cool so far. It is very eclectic in style. Much different than any other Christmas albums you've heard, I believe. I really am going to have fun with this one. The tracks are all done and I start with my lead vocals in a couple of days. I am assuming that it will be ready about the first part of November. I tell ya, it feels so great to be back in the studio again. Well, gotta go. Thanks again for all of your entries and keep them coming. I really enjoy them. Sincerely, Donny

Hi everyone. I have not made an entry in quite a while. Sorry about that, but I have to tell you, this thing they call a "vacation" is pretty darn cool! :-)

I have had the greatest time with my family this summer, and it's not over yet. We still have some plans before the kids go back to school.

Several things have happened since the closing of Joseph. I went back about a month later, unbeknownst to any members of the cast and crew(except Stephen my dresser), got a center, front row seat, and surprised the heck out of everyone. It was so much fun to watch everyone. I think they turned up the energy level quite a bit. What a blast!

My family and I went to Palmyra, NY to participate in the Hill Cumorah Pageant. A cast of over 630 amateurs performing the story of the Book of Mormon. An estimated 80,000 people came to see the 7 shows that we did. What a great experience that was.

I then went to Nashville to cut the rest of the tracks for the Christmas album. No, it's not country, for those of you who think Nashville is only for country music. :-) It's coming along great and I start vocals in a couple of weeks. It is so great to be back in the studio again! I then flew to Orlando to sing the song I recorded for the next Disney animated film, to all of the corporate sponsors. I enjoyed that so much. I've wanted to do a Disney film for so long. My kids will now think I'm successful. Ha! Well, that't it for now. I'll let you all know, as soon as I find out, if the new Donny and Marie Show is going to happen. Everyone seems to be very positive on it. I have to tell you, I was a little skeptical about it at first, but when I flew down to LA and did the presentation shows with Marie, I had the greatest time. I hope it works. Well, that's the update for now. Thanks for your participation in the Donny Osmond International Network.

Sincerely,
Donny

Hi everyone. I'm in Toronto and we did our first preview last night. It went really well. I didn't even forget any lines. We have 21 new cast members and the energy on stage is unbelievable. Everyone is so excited to be in the show and can hardly wait until our official opening night next week. It's hard to believe that it's been 5 years since I started doing Joseph. In many ways it's gone by so fast but then again it seems like yesterday that I auditioned for the roll. I'm sure I'll miss it but I'm ready for that next project, what ever it may be. I've got so many things I want to do. (Like a long nap. Ha!) Thanks for all your emails. I don't get a chance to answer all of them but rest assured, I get to read them. I download them into my computer every so often. While I'm sitting on the airplane, it gives me a chance to go through them all. Thanks again. Bye! Donny

Comments: Hi everyone. I just finished the VH-1 shows tonight and I want to thank everyone that came to be in the audience. I had a great time interviewing everyone. It was really odd being on the other side for a change, trying to come up with intelligent questions rather than the average, everyday questions that celebrities always get. Believe me, I've had enough of those. Anyway, the shows start airing the week of March 10th. I hope you enjoy them. There are some really funny clips I shot. Some from Utah and some from NY. I can't believe they actually got me to wear a Pink Tutu! There are some still pictures in the Members only page if you feel like checking them out. Again, I hope you enjoy the shows.

Take care,
Donny Osmond

PS. Thanks to all of those who submitted their suggestions on what Christmas songs to sing. I only had time to do one song while I was home. It's called "After December Slips Away". I'll try to get a brief portion on the phone card when I can so you can hear it.

Well, I did my first show tonight after being down for two months from a hemorrhaged vocal fold, and it went great. The audience here in Detroit made me feel really good about getting back on stage again and so did the entire cast of Joseph. I want to thank everyone who have left messages of concern and for their thoughts and prayers on my behalf. It all worked! The show went off without any problem and I didn't even forget any of my lyrics. Ha! Thanks again everyone, Donny

I am really enjoying reading all your comments in the guest book. It helps me stay in touch with all of you.

Just in case you have not heard the news, I have had a hemorrhage on my right vocal fold (the medical term for vocal chord). My doctor here in Boston assured me that I have not done any permanent damage. If I continue though, I run the risk of long term damaging effects. I am done here in Boston, much to my regret. My doctor tells me that if I cease from talking and certainly singing, from now until Detroit is suppose to open, there should not be any reason that I will miss the opening there.

I appreciate the support and understanding of the people that have purchased tickets to the shows that I will be missing. Tom Stuart does a great job as my understudy. Sam Harris will fill in for me the last week in Boston. The comments thus far in the guest book sure ease the weight of the situation and I appreciate that.

I hope you are enjoying my web site, and we (Chris, Pat and myself) all welcome your comments and suggestions.

Sincerely,
Donny Osmond

Hi everyone. Thank you for your get well messages. I'm not sure how things are going to go here in the next couple of weeks but I'll be sure to let you all know what the doctor says. Thanks again, Donny

I wanted to post this just to let everyone know how much I appreciate all of your emails. Your concerns, thoughts and prayers for my voice condition is also very much appreciated.

Just to let you know, The Dr. is allowing me to start my vocal excersises, but in a very small way. It seems to be comfortable when I sing but I'm being very cautious at this time.

Anyway, Thanks again for your comments. Sincerely, Donny

I'm one of the few Osmonds that has not seen your show. But I'm a big fan, even if you are my brother! "I Love Ya Man"!
